Q: Where do you ship your books, candles, and other items?

A: As of right now, we only ship within the contiguous U.S. 


Q: What ingredients do you use in your candles?

A: Our candles are made in partnership with Village Apothecary, a fantastic local Birmingham-based business. Jordan uses all natural ingredients in all of her candles: All natural coconut wax, soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, and quality fragrance oils. 


Q: How do I take care of my candle? 

A: Before each use, trim the wick to 1/4" and allow the candle to burn for 3-4 hour intervals, or until you get a full melt pool. This allows for the candle to burn evenly and trimming the wick prevents flickering (which is a fire hazard) and soot from forming. 


Q: Are the candle containers recyclable?

A: Yes! After you are finished with the candle, fill it up with hot soapy water and let it sit for an hour. Remove the water and excess wax and the wick tab at the bottom should be loose enough to remove. If it's still hanging on, repeat with the hot soapy water one more time. After the wick is removed, wash and use, (or recycle)!


Q: When will I receive my order?

A: Please allow 3-5 business days for your order to be processed and shipped. (PRE-ORDERS will take longer)

Once picked up and scanned by our carrier, domestic orders shipped within the contiguous U.S. may take 2-5 business days to arrive, depending on location. 

Please note: once a package is shipped, the tracking information is outside of our control, and as much as we'd like to be there, final delivery is out of our hands. We are currently unable to replace missing or stolen packages.


Q: Returns & exchanges?

A: If your order arrived damaged or if you're experiencing an issue with any items purchased from charlottedonlon.com, please include photos and a detailed description in your email to charlotte@charlottedonlon.com and we will help the best that we can.

As a small, growing business, we are currently unable to pay for return or exchange shipping costs. Exchanges must be made within 14 days of delivery and proof of purchase must be shown. 

We do not offer refunds at this time, but if you are unhappy with your order, you may qualify for store credit.
