Revision is life, y’all. If you’re ready to transform your revision approach and process and become a better writer, we invite you to join us on the last Saturday of every month from 10:15 a.m.-noon CT for Spiritual Direction for Writers® Revision Stations Designed by Lauren F. Winner.
Lauren has facilitated dozens (hundreds?) of revision exercises during in person and online retreats, workshops, creative writing classes, and MFA residencies over the past several years. Her teaching and guidance on revision have helped me embrace a view of revision that has made me a better writer and a better person overall while helping me integrate my spiritual life with my creativity. I’m thrilled to add this gathering to our SDW offerings.
We’re going to use the liturgical elements from our SDW Co-Writing Sessions alongside Lauren’s teaching and guidance on revision for the monthly SDW Revision Stations Designed by Lauren F. Winner.
Lauren will not be able to attend every Revision Station Gathering, but she will plan and design every Revision Station Gathering.
Each SDW Revision Station Gathering is $39. You can register for each monthly SDW Revision Station Gathering below.
SDW Members: All active SDW Members receive access to all SDW Revision Station Gatherings at no additional charge. No registration necessary. Just show up using the Zoom link provided in the SDW Members Resource Library.
Please Note: All information shared during the SDW Revision Stations Designed by Lauren F. Winner is covered by the SDW trademark to protect Lauren and her intellectual property since all of this goodness might end up in a book one day. No recordings allowed. And please don’t share any of the revision teaching, notes, or exercises with others.
All registered participants will receive the Zoom link and additional information 24 hours ahead of time or ASAP if registration occurs after the information is sent to participants. Please bring 6-12 pages of poems, prose, email newsletter content, blog posts, letters to friends, anything to each SDW Revision Station Gathering.
All are welcome. Every person from every stage of the writing life and any point of the faith/doubt/mystery spectrum is invited to join us for the SDW Revision Stations Designed by Lauren F. Winner. Spiritual Direction for Writers® has a reputation as a safe place for all to come as they are.

-Introductions in Chat and Invocation with Breath Exercise (10 minutes)
-A Note on Revision from Lauren (or Teaching on Revision from Lauren) (10 minutes)
-Six Revision Exercises for the 6-12 pages of poems, prose, blog posts, etc. (10 min each) (60 minutes)
-Writing and Revising (15 minutes)
-Check-ins and Blessing (10 minutes)
