Ready to move closer to the writing life you want? Paris Avenue Writers' Group provides tools to help you set and attain your creative goals. The group is facilitated by Tania De'Shawn.
This group will begin meeting on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. CT and meet every month during 2024. You are welcome to attend one session or multiple sessions.
Join us for this monthly workshop every second Sunday from 3- 5 p.m. at the home of Charlotte Donlon.

Paris Avenue Writers' Group Takeaways

Generate a custom roadmap to their creative success and have monthly accountability check-ins
Create a project for 2024 and have opportunities to share their work during class and receive constructive feedback

Tania De'Shawn is a Birmingham native and author of her debut self-published poetry collection, be gentle with black girls. She is the Magic City Poetry Festival Eco Light Poet, outreach and social media coordinator for Alabama Humanities Alliance, owner of Element Agape, Prometheus Dreaming Unbound Finalist, Greater Birmingham Arts Collab Teaching Artist, Flourish Alabama teaching artist, Pen America teaching artist, 2022 Keynote Speaker for the Birmingham Public Library Local Authors Expo, 2020 NextGen Fellow, 2018 Sheperd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty Intern, 2017 Gilman Scholar, 2015 Teaching & Writing Center Intern for High Rocks Academy for Girls.
